My Cool Ornaments and some Ribbon Candy

I just looove hand-blown glass ornaments. They are so Vintage and I love Fenniels. I guess you could say I like all Christmas things Traditional and Old-Fashioned. Including the Old-Fashioned Ribbon Candy. It is so pretty and delicate you do not want to eat it.

Hello! Gosh, it is Monday again. I am almost through decorating!! Just a couple of more things to decorate upstairs and I will finally be done!!!

And I hope to get some "spa" time in today! I need it.

Anyway, Thank you for stopping by to visit me today!

Enjoy the pics!

Good Morning!

It is Monday, and I have been feeling ill since Saturday. Going to the Doctor today.

I guess my body has had all that it can handle as I have been going non-stop since the week of November 17th. Cleaning house, pulling all the storage boxes (from the attic) which are filled with Christmas Decor, and out with my husband looking for a new truck. My body finally gave out on me mid Saturday morning! Had to finally relax and take a hot "spa" bath with some Lavender Scented Epsom Salt. Needless to say, it helped but not enough to cure my body aches and pains.

Anywhoo, our tree has been decorated for way over a week and half now and the outside lights as well. We are just about finished decorating the downstairs. The upstairs is a mess with storage boxes and decor everywhere. Have to decorate the stair rails, put the village up and put the outside yard art today. It was too cold and windy yesterday. Although, it seems at times like I will never get it all done, but eventually everything falls into place and the all hard work and effort make it all worth it when I sit down each night and relax with a glass of wine and admire all the twinkling lights on the tree. Beautiful! So here are a couple of pics to enjoy! Thanks for stopping by today!

Thanksgiving - Gobble Gobble, Wobble Wobble!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was spent with my family and we all enjoyed the good food. Here are some pictures of the food I prepared for the feast. Enjoy! Ummmmm.....I still have some more Pumpkin and Pecan Pie to finish!

The pumpkin pie: This is what I enjoyed the most!
Since I have been eating healthy for the last twelve weeks I have not had many sweets. The wait and anticipation was worth every bite and tasted delicious! I had some more this morning with my coffee!!!
The Yams

These are the best tasting yams. I was on a mission to find them. Not all stores carry this brand anymore so when I see them I usually buy what is left on the shelves!

And the Dinner Rolls from Ms.Schuster! These are very good yeast rolls. I put melted butter on half and then a garlic-herb butter on the other half. Everyone ate them all up!

And after I got home I relaxed with some more wine and ate some more pie!!! That will be it until next year!!!

Hello again!

I just wanted to post a picture of my caramel apples I made on Halloween. They did not turn out as good as I had hoped but, were yummy!

I think I am going to go back to the original receipe for caramel apples which is to use the Kraft Caramels and melt them in a double boiler. Those taste better anyway and that is the way I grew up making them.

Have a great week!

I love all cooking magazines and buy way too many of them. This one is the latest one by Cuisine at Home - Holiday Menus. It has so many great receipes which appear to be super easy to make. As you can see I have several tabs on the receipes that I am going to make over the holidays or before.

I just love Fall Baking and Cooking! Go and get your copy today! Enjoy!

Carolyn King recently lost her Grandmother to Alzheimer's Disease and has donated a generous amount of money (to Alzheimer's Association) from her proceeds earned from selling her Flourishes stamp set. She has gotten a huge response from companies and crafters who wanted to donate stamp sets and other crafting items and handmade cards.

Here are just three companies who donated: Paper Pretties, My Favorite Things, and Stamping Bella. Two bloggers/crafters who also donated are: Jen Del Muro, and Susan Liles. Be sure and check out these gals fabulous blogs as well. Links are to the right of my blog. So, Cammie is giving away all that has been donated by having this Big Blog Candy Giveaway on her Blog! Be sure to check out Cammies blog. I was not able to link her blog in this post, but if you go to the right of my blog under my Blog List be sure to click on MY BLOG and it should link you to her blogspot. I am new to this Blogging thing and am still trying to learn. If anyone knows how to add links to these posts please send me a comment. Thanks!

Here is my card that I made in recognition of Alzheimers Day which was last Sunday, September 21st. My husband lost his mother to Alzheimers Disease two years ago. She had two wonderful and amazing caregivers and her beloved husband and son who also cared for her and were by her side everyday. My husband misses his mother dearly and contributes generously to the Alzheimer's Association. Alzheimers is a an awful disease and I hope that there will be a cure someday. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you who are and have been affected by this horrible disease.

Here is the card I made and a picture of my husband and his mother.

Some inspiration for Valentines Day
