Summer Fun and Drinks

I just had to share this picture of my Great Nephew and Great Niece......the cutest kids ever!!! Also pictured here are a couple of Summer drinks I enjoy. After a long hot day it is nice to sit out on the patio in the evening and enjoy a cool frozen concoction or just a summery refreshing drink such as a Peach Bellini.

So HOT!!!

I have been trying to stay cool. It is not easy though, as I have been to the track almost everyday to walk and jog three miles. With the temperatures reaching 102 degrees I may have to stay in and start using my Treadmill again! I really hate being indoors to excercise.

I just wanted to show off a card I made a while back ago. I used Jen's SFYTT which was posted on her blog a while back. This one was pretty easy and I really like the way it turned out. Some lucky friend of mine will be the receipent of this card!
As soon as I take a picture of the inside (which is too cute) I will post a picture of it.

Supplies used: Base of card: Papertrey White cardstock, background cardstock is the light blue from DCWV and I used my Cuttlebug tiny bubbles embossing folder, the embellishments are from Trim Designs, and beach picture is actually a sticker from Real Life Snapshots, and the stamped image is from Stampabilities. I used my copic markers to color the image and Sticklers for the sparkle.

This is what the inside of the card looks like. I used the stamp from MFT Beach collection and colored the flip flops with Copic Markers and just added some bling!

I just got home from my every other month Pokeno game and tonight I held the lucky card and won every gift with the exception of one. Talk about a couple of "evil" "envious" looks you would have thought I was cheating!!! OMG.....ladies it is only a game of fun!!! After the stealing part I only came home with two gifts and needless to say did not win the jackpot. Never before in the last four years have I ever won that much or even came home with a gift! GEEZ!!! Okay, I feel better now having got that off my chest! I did come home with one gift that I really like alot and it was a 12x12 scrapbook with pre-made pages and all I have to do is add pictures. Funny, how I got that when none of the gals I play with even scrapbook or cardmake to my knowledge. Go figure!!!!

July 4th and a card

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th! We sure did, we spent the weekend in Granbury (sure miss our lake house there)! We hung out at the Marina and watched all the boats go by (made us miss our boat)and we had dinner and drinks and watched the fireworks. It was fun! Went to look for lake property the next day.

On to my real reason for posting here! Here is the card I made for my girlfriends birthday last week. Not a very good picture as the sun was really shining. Anyway, I thought it came out okay. I still think it needs a litte something but do not know what! I did not want to take away from the numbers background.

I also wanted to share a couple of pics from the July 4th weekend. The smiley face fireworks picture is one that I took at the TX Rangers game last month. I think it is too cool!!!

Supplies used for card: Copic markers: B23, R29, E08 At you spica pens: Sky Blue and Red. DCWV cardstock, base of card: Papertrey white cardstock, Rubberstamped Image and Sentiment: Inky Antics, stickers: Mrs. Grossman, Inside text of card: Rub-ons by Making Memories, Cuttlebug Numbers Collage.
