December Madness

Are you done with decorating and Christmas Shopping?  I wish I could say I was.  I have proscratinated so much this season that I am ashamed to say that my house needs a deep cleaning and organizing. This is the longest I have neglected it.  I do not know about you all but I can decorate in a snap for Halloween and Fall but Christmas just stresses me out.  I still have final touches and more ornaments to put on my tree. Each year I add new ornaments and each year I break at least five ornaments when trying to place on tree or they just simply slip out of my hand.  grrrrr!

I still have several storage containers full of Christmas and some empty and all are either in the media room or on pool table and in gameroom.  I have sold alot of Christmas Decor on Craigs List. I am finally getting rid of old decorations that I no longer use and people buy it! LOL!  I am tired of messing with old garlands and half the lights do not work or small Christmas trees and sometimes the lights work and sometimes they don't! Very frustrating.  Plus, I have sooooo much stuff I am running out of attic and closet space!

In the meantime, I dream of baking cookies and making Divinity but then reality snaps in and I say to myself like I have one hundred times before........"You must get this house organized and cleaned and finish decorating" but each day it does not get done. Half of my time is spent at the Gym like three times a week I spend two hours there.  The other days I play! Sometimes, just on the computer, browsing blogs (which I love reading), Facebook (which takes up too much of my time) and Instagram (taking pics all day long) and I have piles of laundry to be folded!

But, we have taken time out of our busy schedule to look at Christmas lights and dine at fine restuarants (Thanks to Groupon Deals).  I took one whole day, a Sunday to have a photo shoot with my dogs. I created the backdrop and my husband made the frame for the backdrop. You will see in pics. I bought the sheer panels at an Estate sale and just had to have them! LOL! The day of the photo shoot my dogs were just not in the mood to pose for me much less sit still. I tried hard to get a pic of all three together and as you can see below I did, but they just did not want to cooperate.  Dogs are just like people, so human!

I have also found time to just sit back and relax and admire my beautiful Christmas Tree. I have not taken a very good pic of it yet, but as soon as I do I will post.  I keep my sanity by going to the Spa (love the silver polish with glitter on top) and by keeping lot's of wine on hand and coffee so that I can dip my yummy Gingerbread Biscotti in it!  On my thighs!!!! LOL!

I hope you all enjoying the season! Thanks for stopping by!

Viva Las Vegas Baby!

Back from VEGAS!!!!

Had a great fun time in Vegas and cannot wait to go back!!! Barbara Striesand was a great concert and her guests were IL VOLVO and Chris Botti. We had great seats on Floor Level. They would not let me take in a camera but I took a couple of pics with my cell phone and video taped her singing. Not sure how the quality will be on the latter. Oh well, the tickets were worth every penny! We dined at fine restuarants and ate casual somedays. The food is sooooo good in Vegas.....so many choices! We did a lot of gambling won some lost some nothing big nothing too little! HA! We saw a show called Jubliee! It was an amazing show! Loved it. It was topless but done tastefully! I loved all the Showgirls Costumes - lot's of feathers flying in the air. I have pics to share but will do that later.

For now here is a pic of my three beautiful dogs! I had a photo shoot with them on their first day back home.......poor doggies I know they wanted to play first and not have to take pics! Oh well!

Halloween was Great! I am slowly packing it all up and putting it away! Then only to get Christmas out! Geez, time flies! On Halloween Night our neighbor the Weather Man for the local news here  broadcast the weather near our front yard on the cul-de-sac.  He did so last year too. We came out on TV!!!! LOL!  I had a lot of Trick-or-Treaters but had to quit giving out candy early bc we needed to pick up all the yard decor and bring it in before leaving for Vegas the next day.  Note to self: Do not travel right after a holiday......too much to do too much stress. But, Barbara was worth it!!!

This was me on Halloween: Dressed as a Domestic Goddess! LOL~

Busy as a BEE

Hello!

Guess What? I am taking an online class on how to shoot in Manual. I shoot with both a Canon 40D and 50D with a Tamaron Lense 18-270mm and have always shot in Automatic.  My Lesson last week was to play with Aperature.  I spent over an hour shooting pics and experimenting and love how this shot (used as my banner) turned out.  Learning to shoot in Manual is not easy and there is soooo much to learn and know that I have gotten frustrated. So, I have two more lessons and that will wrap up the four week course. I hope I get this!!!

Other than that, still decorating for Halloween! I did a Skeleton Tablescape and love how it turned out.  Cannot wait to dress up one night before Halloween and have dinner that would be too cool. Trying to get my husband to dress up? Well, he really does not want too until the day of Halloween!  Too bad I don't have kids because those poor kiddos would be dressing up everyday for Halloween! HA!  I never found Halloween outfits for my three dogs. So, I guess they will not dress this year. They are not going to be here anyway.  Kinda glad because trying to answer the door for Trick-or-Treaters and holding them back and trying to keep them from barking and scaring the kiddos away handing out candy this year will be much easier.

And Guess What? My husband is taking me to see Barbara Streisand in Vegas!!!!! YAY! I love love her music and play her CD's over and over. I am soooooo excited and can hardly wait. We have great seats......on the FLOOR!!!! Well, we have seats to sit in! But Floor Level. I have so much to do that I am a little stressed.

And a shout out to my husband (for doing a great job on yard) and me (for the decorations) we got Yard of the Month and a $25.00 gift card to spend at Calloways. YAY! This is the second time we have got that award since living in this neighborhood. YAY!!!!

Well, I gotta go now. Heading to the Gym!!! Have a great weekend.

Last year, at the Christmas Decorator Warehouse I found this really cute Chandelier type light with Orange and Black Lamp covers......TOO PRETTY! It was originally selling for $300 and more and I got it for $69.00!!! I hope to get it hung this week! For now, here are a couple of pics of some of my Fall Decor.

I love Everything FALL!

I usually have the inside and outside of my home decorated by now but, have not stayed home long enough to pull all my Fall Decor out. I just love this Lantern I bought awhile back at Pottery Barn. They are so Versatile!!! I had the Flower Arrangement made at Michaels. You see in one of the pics I had her put some Orange and Black Mesh in it. I did not like the way it looked so I removed it. I think it looks better alone with the Burlap type Ribbon. I have another smaller lantern I bought at another store. I need to decorate it with the other Flower Arrangement. So, here is just a sneak peek of my Fall Decor.

The weather has been cooling off and it feels a tad bit chilly for my liking. Headed to the Texas Rangers game tonight!!!

Have a great weekend.

Another Summer almost over!

Time Flys! I am so ready for Fall to get here and have been shopping the stores for new Fall Things. I get tired of the same ol' decor year after year even tho I do add new things to old things! HA! My husband keeps telling me we do not need anymore Fall or Halloween things! I know I know, but gosh each year there is always something new and cuter!!! I want to get my Dogs Halloween Outfits so that I can take their pics. Our Lhasa, Bruiser's coat of hair is so full and pretty right now that I cannot stop taking his pic. Today, we are taking them to get groomed and I hope they do not have to shave him as he does have a few matted hair underneath his belly. I think it is hurting him. But, we did not listen to our groomer......she told us to take him in weekly for brushing. GRRRRR!

Yesterday, I became a new Aunt again! My Niece, Erica gave birth to her third Child. Nolan Thomas arrived at 12:35 pm weighing 8 pounds and something and 19 and something inches with a full head of black hair! He is adorable! He was welcomed by his Big Brother, Daniel and his Little Sister, Alexa. They are one big happy family now!!! It has been a long time since we had a little baby in our family. I cannot wait to be his Professional.....well not so Professional Photographer!!!!

Still going to the Gym! I have lost a total of 10-12 pounds and 11 1/2 inches overall. My weight goes up and down each week. Because I have not eaten any sweets or sugar since April......This past month was hard. I craved Sugar and Cupcakes and Sweet Tea (which I hardly ever drink)! I guess I just needed sugar. So, I have eaten a Cupcake, and a piece of Carrot Cake. But, this past Sunday, I went to a birthday party and I passed up cake! It really was not that hard. But, when I do crave sugar I crave it. I was doing so well on logging everything I ate on My Fitness Pal......Stopped doing it because it got to be time consuming and I did not log as I ate I logged at end of day and therefore was over sometimes or under. I have seven more pounds to lose to reach the goal I set for myself. And about six inches left to shed. I love working out it makes me feel good and I have more energy and never feel tired like I did before. I am tired of eating chicken and Turkey!! LOL!

Well, my house needs cleaning so I guess I will tackle that this weekend and maybe have time to pull out all the Fall Decor and Pumpkins out of the attic. It has been too hot this week. Next week we are supposed to get a cool front. YAY!!!

I forgot to mention I did a Fall Tablescape.....I still have some more things to add to it. I cannot find a tablecloth for this odd size table! GRRRRR!

Outside decor

Halloween decorating is still coming along!
