I always wear Brown Tones lipstick. I do have a Red lipstick that I mix with some brown tones. I love it. It is from DuWop. I found these two from Cover Girl and really like them. The Pink tone is not too bright but subtle. The colors are Fruit Punch and Bronze Beam. Let's Experiment!!!! LOL!

I went to get a much needed manicure and pedicure this week. I love this color by OPI called Tropical Punch! I am trying hard not to do dishes or housework as I want this manicure to last!!! But, my house is a mess and so unorganized it is driving me crazy!!!

I just wanted to share this photo and tell you about this Top Coat! It dries instantly! I love it.

Believe it or not. We have not occupied our home "in the country" just outside the "city" fifty miles from the city in which we live now. Well, long story short....we never sold our home in the city when we moved to the country! As a matter of fact we moved back to our home in the city back in July. Still trying to get situated and things moved out of the other home in the country. Confusing, I know!

Well, we went yesterday to get some more things that are still there. Gosh, I did not realize we still have the heavy things to move....Exercise equipment and a few things here and there. Perhaps, three more truck loads! Need to focus on putting house on market!

Anyway, I was looking out the window and did not see any Deer while we were there. Took all three dogs and they barked and barked so I guess that is why they did not appear anywhere. I just miss the view there that is all - oh and the peacefulness....no sounds of people or traffic nearby just the view of the Pecan Orchard and the Deer at times.

I just thought I would use this pic of the Deer I took last January while we were living there. Beautiful!

I cannot say that I am completely ready but I have finished decorating the downstairs. I started two weeks before Thanksgiving. I am slow like that, somedays I was motivated other days not! My upstairs is a wreck I have a Gameroom and Pool Table in there somewhere!

Took some time out to photograph my dogs for a Christmas picture.....only thing is I cannot get them to sit altogther anymore! Now all I need is for Hubby and I to put on our Santa Suits and take our Christmas photo!!!

Can you believe I forgot about our Bruiser's Birthday! He turned Three on September 29, 2011. I remember on his very First Birthday I made a big deal out of it and had a little celebration for him. I went to Three Dog Bakery in Southlake and had this big Doggie Bone made. It had a Chocolate like frosting on it and his name was on the bone and it said "Happy Birthday, Bruiser." We took a lot of pictures but I would not let him eat the bone because I did not want him to get chocolate all over his face!

Well, this year I totally forgot about his birthday! Oh well, the other two never got birthday celebrations! They all get treated very well and pretty much get their way in our household. Anyway, yesterday they all got groomed as they do every three weeks and we had a photo shoot. They all dressed in their Halloween costumes. I am submitting all three in a Costume Contest! I hope one of them wins!!! If not, all three! I will post more pics of them in their Halloween costumes soon. For now, enjoy these photos!!!

Been busy decorating for Fall and Halloween and enjoying the cooler temperatures! It is so nice finally being able to get outside and walk without sweating!!!

I have been walking with my Niece for three weeks now five days a week and I can feel the results! Seems my thighs are getting smaller!!! We won't talk about my belly fat!!! Although, we keep saying we will Hoola-Hoop the fat off of that part of our bodies soon enough!

Well, gotta busy day today: A FUN DAY - headed to the Spa for a much needed manicure and pedicure, lunch, and maybe some shoppping. Having Dinner tonight with our Dear Friends and on Saturday guests are coming in from out-of-town and we are going to the first Official Cowboy vs. Redskins game on Monday night! YAY!!!

My favorite time of year! I have so many new decorations and cannot wait to decorate the house for Fall and Halloween. But, first I must tidy up my house and unpack boxes! I am running out of cabinet space to put things away! I thought we got rid of alot of stuff from the move last Summer but appears we bought more for the new house (out in the country) and it was smaller! More cabinet space than our home we now live in. Sorry, if it sounds a little confusing. Bottom line is this house does not have as much cabinet space or I am thinking we have way to much stuff!

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!!

Anyway, took time out this weekend to shop for Halloween Costumes for a photo shoot for my Great Niece and Great Nephew and of course our dogs! I have not looked for me a costume yet. Going to try to make it to Electric Boutique. They always have a huge line of costumes and sexy ones! HA!

Went to In And Out Burger in Fort Worth. Had to see what all the RAVE was about on a California Burger Spot! I liked it, but still left there feeling hungry and not sooo full! All I can say, is that I will not make another special trip to that place but if I am in the area I will try it again! But, let me say this........

In and Out Burgers has nothing on WHATABURGER!!!!! That is all I need to say!

Making Progress

Still trying to move out of the house in the Country and get it on the market. But, in the meantime, still unpacking boxes and putting things away and decorating at the same time! WHEW! I am exhausted and to think it will soon be time to put up my Fall Decor!!!! GEEZ!

Anyway, here are a couple of pics. There will be more to come because I want to show you the rest!!! Stay tuned! As you recall in my previous posts perhaps, the downstairs of our home was totally remodeled! In the Kitchen, we got new hardwood flooring, new granite, whitewashed our cabinets (love the spice racks we added), new Stainless Steel Appliances, new Drawer type microwave (too cool), new glass pantry door (love it) although, I forgot to post a pic (well do another time), new shutters and we are having fun re-decorating although it is a job!

The Dining Room pictured has new paint as well as the kitchen - we went with a lighter Faux cannot wait to host a Dinner party!!!!

Oh What A Night!

Hubby and I went out for Dinner and Drinks and a little dancing! Well, he did dance just a little - only because someone came and grabbed him! LOL!

We went out (last night) to one of our favorite places Campania's in Southlake! I munched on Pepperoni and Basil Pizza and drank a good bottle of wine!!! It was all good! So Good it had me dancing the night away with the Singer of the Band!!! And guess who was playing the Conga in the band? Jose Guzman! He is a former Texas Rangers Pitcher! He came and chatted with us and took a pic with us! He is super sweet! The band that played last night was Superb! Orlando Salinas! He played alot of Neil Diamond and was very good! He mentioned he will be on the MTV Awards? Wednesday? At least that is what I recall him saying!

We will definately be back to watch him play at Campania's!!!

We awoke to loud thunder and got some much needed rain! Too bad, it came and it went! Oh well!

Not much going on in my little world......still unpacking and moving things around trying to make it look like home again!

I unpacked six big boxes and most of it was stuff for the China Cabinet!

Yesterday some mean looking storm and rain clouds appeared but still no Rain where I live! I had a plan to play and dance in the rain since we have not had any in forever! I picked up my niece and told her what the plan was so she was all for it. We put on our Big Girl TuTu's and jumped and skipped on the sidewalk hoping the rain would come down. I guess we got overly excited and our raindance moved the storm clouds out of the area! Oh well! We had fun anyway!

After that, I played with the waterhose.......bathing in the hot sun! Oh Yes, I did!!!! LOL!!!

I have been busy as usual.....I worked hard all day Friday in the heat and it was HOT!!! Working on the patio, yard, and Garden. Hubby cleaned the Grill and it is super shiny and ready for use (but only if the temps drop)! Now to get an outdoor area rug and some flowers, patio decor, lighting, etc. Then it will be complete! We need to do some landscaping and hubby loves his new fence. Now to stain it. After all my hard work I showered and sat down on the new patio furniture and cooled down with an Ice Cold Beer! Now to finish with the inside! HA! So much too do!!!

As you can see in the pics our Benji loves "his" new chair! LOL! I swear he lounges around inside and outside of the house like a CAT! (I hate cats). That beautiful turtle you see was spotted outside Tuesday morning yesterday (Saturday). I did not see it as another customer spotted it. Had I seen it first I would have freaked out because that creature scared me. I zoomed in on him to take the pic as I am a scarity cat!!! LOL!

Even with the 100 degree days our Garden is still harvesting! It has alot of weeds in it but is still green!!! Next Spring/Summer I will be able to tend to it everyday God Willing!

Nothing else is new......needing a summer vacation to the beach! But, with so much to do around the house I put that thought to the side. Hubby is ready to pack and go!!! Guess, I should too!

Redecorating the newly remodeled home!

Our house is finally done as far as the remodel goes (due to the flooding)! It looks great and we are having fun re-decorating it and changing up things. The Plantation Shutters make the house look rich! Got new patio furniture and ordering a leather sectional couch!!! Got my formal drapes back up although they are not creased or put together to my satisfaction! I will have to do that last and fix it myself! Other than that been busy as usual!!!!

JULY 4TH FIREWORKS

We had my family over for a big BBQ and we popped fireworks in our driveway and later that evening the kiddos all jumped in the hot tub. It was way too hot for us grown-ups!!! Everyone had a great time!!! These pics came out pretty good.....considering I could not see in the dark and did not want to miss anything to go inside and put my camera setting on Action~~~ grrrr!

Oh well....regretted it the next day!

Well I do not know if you all remember back in February when we got that really cold Winter and low low temperatures in the teens; our house sprinklers busted and our home flooded with six inches of water throughout the downstairs. To make a long story short, we had over $80,000 worth of damage.

Our home has finally been remodeled, and it looks great!!! We have the final inspection next week! We made a lot of changes, changed out Granite to a lighter color, wall paints to a lighter color, adding Plantation Shutters, added a new Entertainment system, Wine Bar, carpets, hardwood flooring (a lighter shade and better quality wood), new doors inside and out, new hardware, faucets, shower doors, etc. etc. We are very pleased with the way it turned out and cannot wait to move back in.

In the meantime, we said we were not going to buy any more furniture. Well, except Bedroom furniture because we want a lighter color and no more dark wood. Not many furniture stores carry light colored wood furniture anymore!! So, we went to a High Dollar Consignment Store and they had a lot of good things! We ended up buying a living room set for our new reading/quiet/relaxing room which used to be my hubby's office. Anyway, this furniture caught our eyes and we just had to have it. Now, in the store it looked more of Green tones. We get it delivered to our home and place it in the reading room and the color changed. Isn't that weird!!! I sat there staring at it for about thirty minutes second guessing our purchase! Like I always do and hubby gets frustrated with me because of that! Anyway, I hope we made a good choice for that room. The dogs love it and had to do their usual sniff and sit on it. I think they enjoy it because now they can perch up on the couch and look out the window!!!

I think after we get the room decorated and add an area rug and shutters in place it will perhaps all fall together and look elegant! But, I am stuck with it either way. I do like it, but I always think and know that I will find something better afterwards. Happens to me all the time! LOL!

Funny thing, my dear friend and neighbor down the street have similar furniture in their living area......I hope when they see it they do not think we are copying them....although their home looks like a model home and is super clean and nicely decorated!!

Each time I get our dogs groomed they know we will have a photo shoot! So, this is what I was doing this morning! One dog is not pictured. Benji, the Shih Tzu has a mind of his own and does not partake. It is hard to get him to sit still long enough for a picture and most times he has his mind made up and runs and hides from the camera!!!!

Who says Dogs are not human!!! LOL!

On another note! Thanks to my two loyal followers on my blog for your sweet comments. I really appreciate them. I, like you will never know why some people have to be mean spirited! I am guessing because they are not happy in their own lives and so as the saying goes "Misery loves company!"

It's gonna be a new hair day today!!!

Let me confess first! In this picture I did not style my hair.....not that I can't do it this way (because it does take a lot of time)! I went to get an evaluation on my hair because my hair is breaking and feels dry and is overly processed and my bangs needed a trim and because I want to cut it so that the layers will all be one length. Anyway, I am going in today to cut it to one length perhaps and to get the GREY colored and my highlights touched up! Wish me luck!!!!!

Then headed to see the new carpet that was laid down in our other home. I got Bright Pink carpet for my craft room to match the paint and wallpaper which has been there with ugly beige carpet and it just did not make my room pop! Cannot wait to see it and to move all my craft stuff back to the city. I will miss my lovely purple walls and purple carpet in my craft room now!!! Spoied yes! I know! But, that is my life!

But because this post was only to be about my hair - I will not post pics of my craft rooms just yet. I will post next week!

Spring Cleaning and Decorating

I have been shopping and shopping way too much for the last month and a half! Buying Easter Decorations, clothing, shoes, and accessories for our upcoming trip to Napa next month! My house is so unorganized and needs cleaning!!!! But, I still managed to get the Eastor Decorations up!!!! Planning dinners and lunches using my new Weight Watchers cookbooks. Since joining Weight Watchers two weeks ago to help me maintain the weight I have lost I have not been counting my points. Went to a meeting yesterday and whoa!!! I gained 2.4 pounds and hubby lost 1.5 pounds. Go figure!!! We have to get on track and start watching our calorie intake. I made a meal yesterday using only Five Ingredients. It was yummy!! Did I stop at one serving? NO!!!! It was that good. A post will follow soon with pics of that delicious and easy meal!!!!

Well, I need to go put away all the things I have purchased and I know somewhere under all those bags lies a dinette table!!! LOL!

PS- Hubby and I have been busy with Spring Planting.......loving all the blooming herbs in our window sills!!!!

Since we are still on our strict diet we did not indulge as much into all the sweetness and good foods and beverages for this occasion. I thought what the heck, I am going to pull out the China, dust off the stemware and tablecloths and enjoy our Valentine's Day weekend. So in less than an hour I set up the table for two and had dinner on our plates in no time. Only thing I forgot to do was turn the TV off and put the romantic music on. Oh well, at least I remembered to take pics!!!

Yes, it is my birthday. Well, not just mine, I am a twin so it is my sisters and my birthday. Today, we turn 48!!! Hard to believe and I do not feel that old! Well, I do not consider 48 old anyway! I will probably cheat on my diet and indulge myself with some good food, a good glass of wine or two, and Dessert!!!!

I just wanted to share these pics with you. When I was a child I was always throwing a fit (still do sometimes - LOL) and always wanted my way and if things did not go my way......well, as you can see I pouted! Believe it or not, as a child I never wanted to take pics or pose for any......today I do not leave home without my camera and am always taking pics of myself (LOL) or my doggies and of whatever else catches my eye!!!

Walking the streets of Downtown Fort Worth

We headed out to Downtown Fort Worth today to see all of the things set up.....such as ESPN and all the media and other things for the Super Bowl. We had lunch at the Omni Hotel and I had Bison Chili and hubby had a salad. Oh, and I had an Expresso Martini......it was good and a little too strong. The only thing missing was the Almond Biscotti which was supposed to be in it but, the waitress said they did not have any!!! WTH??? Anyway, I am not eating sweets right now so it was just as well because I would have eaten it. HA!!!

I will post more pics tomorrow, but for now enjoy these!!! We are supposed to get some ice and a little snow.....we shall see! Being 50 or more miles out of the city now I doubt it if we will get any!!!! Boo-hoo!

I got for Christmas!!!! I love the smell of these Fresh Sugar products from Sephora!!! Smells soooo clean and fresh you may want to lick your skin after applying!!! I also love love my Betsy Johnson Monkey ring!!!! Too Fun!!!! And the Whipped Lightning is yummy and you can really taste the alcohol in it.....heck you better for $13.00 a can!!! Have not tried the Teas yet but my dear friend has and she said "yum"!!!! And last but not least the Cinnamon Sugar.....Mexican Style? Well, it is good and that is coming from a Mexican!!!! HA!!!

Good Morning! I thought I would follow Kelly's Korner Blogspot today and show you our Foyer in our home that is now on the market. Back in June we found a home that we really liked and purchased it. It is less formal and maybe 1000 square feet less with a four car garage and is one story with a beautiful circular drive and a back yard that backs up to a huge pecan orchard where deer roam free! A gated community 50 miles and at least one hour away from shopping and dining in the Fort Worth area!!! Husband is satisfied.....me? I am adjusting to the country life and missing being so close to Michaels and a Target!

Believe it or not, we are still trying to move things out of our big empty house in Keller and still unpacking and organizing the new home. It is hard and stressful right now trying to get it organized, cleaned and decorated for the holidays. But, I was regretting the move therefore I took my sweet time.....hubby is still not so pleased with that act!!!!

I love the label on this Wine bottle and how appropriate for this holiday season......Halloween! I have had my eye on it for quite sometime and finally decided to purchase it. I have seen it at World Market but was at Target last night and bought it there. It was $20.00 not so cheap but well worth it! It tasted sooooo good!

My broken wrist is healing everyday and my weekly therapy is helping!!! Still trying to get settled in the new home and adjust to it. But, still have to get the other one cleaned and ready to sell!!!!!

Been busy as a Bee, but am able to use both of my hands now and can take pictures again. I have taken some time out to have fun with all my new Halloween Decorations and have decorated the front porch at the new home.

I FEEL SO HELPLESS.......

Almost two weeks ago this coming Monday I took a very bad fall down my stairs and tripped over my Doggie Gate. I had my hands full with my three Flip Camcorder and new Canon Powershot and was not holding on to the rail and lost my balance when my PJ pant got caught up in the gate. I had no control and everything fell out of my hands and I tripped over two steps and the gate onto the hardwood flooring. I braced myself with my right arm and heard a loud crush on my wrist. I was hurting so bad I just laid there and cried out loud but yet there seemed to be hardly any tears. I finally got the courage to take a look at my arm and thought I had just sprang it. Hubby was in kitchen when all took place and ran to aid me. I would not let him get near me and my dogs were hoovering around me as well. I finally took another look after saying I would be okay and did not want hubby to take me to ER. He looked at it and said you are going to ER I said, crying......yes I think I broke it as it looked all deformed!!! It brought back the unfaithful memory of when I broke my arm as a child and I remembered how deformed it looked. Well, my wrist was deformed and it was hurting like hell!!

Hubby was in a hurry to get me to ER....I insisted on changing and taking a picture of the broken wrist. That night of all nights.....I had on my holiest PJ's!! and no bra on! It was not easy I changed with the help of hubby and got the picture taken. I cried all the way to ER and while there. ER took Xrays and said it was a pretty bad break and they gave me Morphine to ease my pain. We finally got to go home at 4:00 am and the accident took place at 1130 pm. I had to go back to ER the next day bc the wrap around my wrist and arm was too tight and it was cutting off circulation. Anyway, since then I have had surgery, therapy and many Dr.'s visits. I am doing better but hate that I can hardly do anything by myself. It is a challenge. And we are still in the middle of moving!!!!! Funny, how this happened to me bc I was complaining and saying how this move was disrupting my life......apparently GOD heard me and said "I will show you disrupt" anyway, I took my brace off a couple of times this week and right now I can type with two hands so I am making progress. As soon as I find a pic of my injury I will post. I have misssed catching up on my favorite blogs!!!!! Stay tuned!!! I am still around!!!

A BIG empty house

I am saddened and a little overwhelmed with so much packing to do and having movers come and take it all to the country where we will start another chapter in our lives!

Moving 50 miles out of the city into the country! I hope I can adjust!!!! I have been trying to hold off from moving as I would love to keep both homes but that is out of the question!

I will miss being close to my family and friends and all my favorite shopping places and restuarants! But, we must press on!!!

Another busy week ahead and still a housefull of furniture to sell including a pool table and media equipment as we are downsizing and will not have a media room or gameroom. I will miss watching movies on the huge screen.....but it's okay we are going from 106 inches screen to 60! I hope my eyes can adjust! LOL!

I had another busy weekend!!! Dinner with friends and family and cleaning house. I hate when my house is unorderly and dusty!! We are moving so I have been selling furniture and accessories left and right. Anyone need any custom made draperies? Yes, I am selling these pictured in my living room. I am super excited we are getting a brand new Salt Water Spa delivered to our new home and we got a brand new leather couch which has two electric reclining seats on each end. YAY!!!! Busy Days = Good Times

Wow! What a wonderful but busy week we had at the Parsons Household!!! I cannot remember everything we did, but it was fun!!!
Monday I had to go back to the Oral Surgeon for a post follow-up visit from the oral surgery I had on June 14th. If I have not mentioned before I am getting two implants! Talk about being expensive and a long process, but I have the BEST Oral Surgeon in FTW!!! My gums are still tender so I have to eat slowly but, trust me I am getting it all in my mouth and seeing a one pound gain then a one pound loss. Go figure!!!
Took the three doggies in for grooming and they have been staying indoors because it has been too hot outside.
We are closing on a new house (well, fairly new - it is only four years old) it is in great condition and is 1,000 SQ smaller than ours and has a four car garage. It is a one story - we now live in a 4,000 SQ two story. We are going to paint the inside and replace the carpet. We love this house and it has a huge circular drive. We will be members of two Country Clubs which are in the development. Our house backs up to a Pecan Plantation!!!! Deer run freely through this development. I am going to miss the city life but my husband is excited about the country life!!!

I had a couple of friends over the other night for some wine and good food! We talked and drank a lot of wine!!!

A dear friend gave us tickets to go to the Ranger game on Wednesday night. They played the Pirates and we won. It was a great game and we sat fourth row up from First Base!!!! We went again on Friday night to see the Rangers play the Houston Astros!!! We paid $90 a piece for our tickets because we love sitting in the Lexus level and be able to enjoy hard liquor or Wine and we love being waited on! But, the rain started coming down and did not let up until about the 5th inning or so and we did not want to get wet so we went to sit in the Cuervo Club and watched some of the game on the Big Screens! I could have done that at home in our media room!!!! Anyway, finally around the 7th inning we got to go sit at our seats. It was fun anyway despite the rain!!!

Saturday we went shopping in Southlake and then hubby and I went to the Salon to have the Ultimate Pedicure and Manicure along with some WINE!!! Then we came home and got dressed and went out to eat dinner and celebrate our six year anniversary! We love fine dining and went to Ruth Chris Steakhouse and hubby splurged on me and bought me an expensive bottle of wine which cost $110 it was sooooo GOOD! I will finish off the bottle tonight! We had a great tasting dessert too! The manager at Ruth Chris hooked us up with VIP treatment at the Scat Lounge: Free cover, Free drinks and reserved seating!!!! We had a great night!!!

Today, we took the top down on the Vette to go eat some Mexican Food and then shop a little but came home quickly as it was way too hot to be in a Convertible!!!
We have a busy week ahead of us: we are closing on our new home!! We have a lot of stuff to get rid of, well to sell and pack! I am not looking forward to that plus, putting our home on the market!!!

I hope it sells quickly!!! I have been slacking and should be getting rid of stuff by having a garage sale. Each weekend has been too busy for that.

I have not been to the mall in forever!!!! Well, it has been awhile. I had to go because I have been on a strict diet and have lost 19 pounds......one pound away from my goal of 20 and all of my clothing are too big and falling off of me! That is good thing!!!!

I have went from a size 10 to a 4 and have bought some shorts that are a size 2!!!! OMG, I cannot believe it!! I am happy and satisfied but at the same time I am dying for a piece of Chocolate Cake or a piece of Coconut Creme Pie and of course, Mexican Food and my WINE!!!! Everything in moderation.....I know! I am learning. I plan to keep on eating clean and healthy and organic and will indulge every now and then. Most of all I have to keep exercising!!!!

It has been a long and tough journey to say the least but I am HUNGRY---errr happy!!! I will be rewarding myself with a SPA day too!!! My husband has lost over 30pounds!!! Since I have lost a bra size (that I did not want - lost my booty too, LOL) he said I could get implants!!!! TMI-I know! He is too sweet!!!

So, I just wanted to brag and share my happiness and show you a couple of things that I bought. It was fun shopping at Victoria's Secret!!!!!(for a change) I am thinking I will go to Fredericks for some new lingerie!!!! LOL! In the Express bag are some cute shorts, capri pants, and T-shirts.

I am also reading this magazine and book to get new tips on healthy eating. Thanks for reading my post today!!!!

My Crafty Side

When I first started this blog it was to be for my hobby, Scrapbooking, Card Making, Photography, and to write about my life, etc. etc. Since I started this blog I started sharing my photography. I love taking pictures of anything and everything. I have had a passion for photography all of my life but got more into it five or six years ago. I love playing with my three Flip Camcorders too! (yes, I really do have three-I know it's crazy) But, with three dogs I love having the camcorders and cameras ready to go so that I can capture every move my dogs make!!! LOL!

Back to crafting: I have a room dedicated to my hobby! A room full of brand new crafting materials: Stickers, ribbons, ink pads, rubber stamps, and tons of things to alter, and tons of embellishments and paints, etc. etc. It is like walking into a Michaels or Hobby Lobby, I have that much invested. Crazy---yes!!! I have soooo many unfinished projects. I keep telling myself I will get back into crafting. So, tonight I had the urge, but first I had to clean up my workroom!! I have been "spring" cleaning or "purging" and shredding papers and getting rid of old magazines and personal papers, receipts, etc. which I have collected over the years!!!

Okay - got sidetracked again! Here is a card I made for my Dear friend, Judy. The two of us have been on a strict diet (my husband, too) and it is a tough diet to follow-thru but we have been doing it and are very happy with our results so far!!!

Finally, I have the picture ICON back! I do not know what I did to make it disappear! I have been busy SPRING cleaning but still have piles and piles of paper everywhere!!! My downstairs is all cleaned with the exception of the hardwood floors which need to be cleaned, waxed, and buffed! Then my next project will be the upstairs. OMG! That will be a month long job! My house is too big and we have way too much stuff and three dogs to add to the mess (cleaning up and picking up after them) but I love them!!!!

We removed our carpet due to the pets ruining it. We had ceramic tile put down and it came out so pretty. I really like it (and I was opposed to it before). Does any one use any of those sweepers that have steam? I am thinking that would be a good investment for the ceramic tile. I just do not know which one to buy. I only want the BEST! LOL!

I have been on the edge lately. Hubby and I are on a strict diet and have been without alot of the foods and drinks we come to think we could not ever live without! LOL! I have lost 7 and 1/2 pounds and he has lost 18 pounds. I will say this, we are eating healthier and I am exercising again.

I have a busy day ahead of me so enjoy this picture of my new look in my living room and a picture of my doggies. We had to get Brewster, our Lhasa shaved. He had such a beautiful coat of hair but it had soooo many matts. Now, he really looks like a Lhasa!!

I was daydreaming this morning about Paris and thought I would bake The Pioneer Woman's French Breakfast Puffs! I had all of the ingredients in my panty except for the Baking Powder!!!! I had to go and borrow some from my neighbor and she happened to have some! Thank God!

I pulled out my French Press as it has never been used since I bought it. I enjoyed my Pastry and Coffee!!!

Some of the things we inherited from my husband's parents. I love this China Pattern and the pink color!!! I can hardly wait to use it. We have five wooden boxes full of Silverware which needs to be cleaned. Tea Sets, etc. The Silverware pictured is called Eternally Yours. How Sweet it is! I have my work cut out for me (cleaning Silver) but will enjoy using all of it! Enjoy the pics! Oh, I forgot to mention......Mike came home with two Fur Coats which belonged to his mother. They are both very pretty and fit me but where in the heck will I wear those to???? What to do with them.......what to do?????

Another Wine I tried!!!!

I found this Wine at my favorite store: WORLD MARKET.....I love that place and you can always find Wine cheaper there!!!

I found this one for under $4.00 a bottle!!! I bought the Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Reisling!!! My niece drank the Cab the night before (while she, me, and her three year old daughter took a hot bubble bath in my jacuzzi tub) and she loved the Wine!!!!

I fixed Tortilla Crusted Tilapia for dinner tonight and had the Chardonnay and it was GREAT!!!!!
I will definately buy this Wine again!!!! I love the label as well. To me, it just seems like all Automotive Shops should carry this wine in their shops and offer it to their customers who are having their Automobiles fixed!!!! Right?????

Anyway, I am just about done with this bottle so it is time to go to bed!!!!

February is a busy month for me, my husband, my twin sister, and my family and a lot of my friends as we all have birthdays in February!!! I have soooo much to write about and so many pictures to share, but for now I will share this post with you......this post about WINE!!!!
I was in Target the other day and as I was perusing the Wine aisle this wine label caught my eye!!!
I love all the cool wine labels and the names that these wineries come up with!!! Gosh, why did'nt I think of this one??? LOL! This label is going in my Wine Journal....I love the embossed lettering and the textured paper....so cool!!!

I opened up this bottle of wine and have just about finished it up all by myself. LOL! While drinking it I felt like I should have been listening to Savage Garden's "Truly, Madly, Deeply" but, instead I was listening to Eva Cassidy!!!! Love her music. I love the new Love Canvas that I bought and am using it as my screen saver on my computer!!!!

I also love my Wired Wine Bottle which holds all of my corks!!! I found this at Arlington Camera!!!! I just love it!!!

BIG HANDBAGS!!!!

I love them and own many!!! But, here lately my whole right side cannot handle all the weight from carrying my big bags!!!!

This evening I went to the mall with my husband and told him I was searching for a smaller handbag. He smiled!!! He knows how much I carry in my bag and wonders why I carry everything I carry? Anyway, I found two handbags I could not leave without!!!!

He let me buy both!!! A small Coach and a small Dooney and Burke!!! I think he thinks if he bought me those two I would soon forget about the Louis Vuitton bag that I want!!!! NOT!!!! I do own a small Louis Vuitton and never use it because it is too small.......well it is not that small but STILL!!!!!

Anyway, I wanted to post a picture of my biggest and latest handbag that he bought me at an event at the Convention Center here. This bag is too cool!!! I love the huge fat strap and it hangs perfectly on my shoulder but the the weight of it kills me!!! This bag is soooo cool!!! It has alot of pockets and a place to carry your cell phone separately and your keys separately. The only thing is my IPhone will not fit in that compartment!!! The cool thing I like about this bag is that it has two pockets on the inside sides and can hold two water bottles!!!! The other pocket is insulated like with the aluminumn looking panels you know? You could carry the miniture bottle of wine in your purse and it would stay cold!!!! LOL!!!! Anyway, I cannot handle a big bag anymore. It is hard on me when I go shopping and I always have to throw my bag in a shoppping cart and when I wear heavy coats it continues to slip off my shoulder. Problems, problems, I know!!!

So, here are pics of the two handbags my sweet and loving husband bought for me tonight!!!!

And Dillard's was having a G-R-E-A-T sale with an additional 30 percent off the sale price......too bad that did not include the purses!!! Anyway, I got a pair of Ellen Tracy pants for dirt CHEAP!!!! My husband is soooooo SWEET!!!!!

Now I have to go on another shopping trip and find some brown shoes and a brown handbag. Hey, do not frown ~ my Birthday is coming up real soon and so is Valentine's Day and I have been a very good GIRL!!!! LOL!!!

RAIN, TRAFFIC, AND GETTING LOST TO PW's COOKBOOK SIGNING IN DALLAS

I totally got my dates mixed up for PW's book signing in Dallas. I thought it was Dec. 7th and it was on Dec. 1st! I was at the mall shopping all day and took a break to check out my Facebook and there was a message on Pioneer Woman's Facebook about the booksigning. I booked it home to feed my puppies and thought I was giving myself ample time to get there. I should have known better......dealing with Dallas Traffic takes me over an hour to get there and the rain did not help. Our GPS would not work, therefore we went the opposite direction on Preston (or whatever street the Borders was on I have forgotten by now). I am not familiar with Dallas and do not go there unless it is for the State Fair of Texas. I am a Fort Worth gal and always will be. We do not have the traffic Dallas has and that makes me love my hometown even more!

I was so surprised at all the cars and no parking spaces left in the shopping center. Luckily, my husband drove me so he dropped me off at the door and parked way yonder! Rain still coming down! I ran inside and was surprised again at how many people were there and lines everywhere! I got in line to purchase the book and was handed a silver wrist band. Found a chair behind the black roped area and got a good view of the Pioneer Woman. After seeing so many lines and people I knew it would be late in the night before my color would be called. So, after watching all the other lucky gals meet and talk with PW and her girls I just decided to leave. I went to the counter and traded my unsigned book for a pre-signed book by PW.

I was bummed that I did not get to meet her personally, but hey I got some good pictures of her and her girls and I feel like we met somehow someway! I really wanted one of those cute and so chic T-shirts! I had no chance of getting one because from reading other blogger's post they ran out. Maybe, just maybe Ree will read this and send me one!!!

Maybe some day I will be invited over to the Ranch and have an opportunity to meet her and her family! Just maybe!! Ree, are you hearing me??

I can hardly wait, well my thighs can wait but I can't to make some of her great recipes which are in her cookbook! Enjoy the pics and have a great day!

Hi! I am following Kelly's Korner and today's theme is PETS! Here is a picture of my Lhasa Apso his name is Bruiser. He is such a good dog and smart too! This is one of my favorite pictures of him. Bruiser was my first puppy and then I could not stand it and had to get another one and another one. I thought it would be a good idea to hire a photographer to take a picture of me and my three Puppies. Well, the Photographer came and he was not as experienced as I thought he appeared to be according to his work I seen at a Pet Store and his business card. Anyway, to make a long story short he came prepared with his camera equipment and lighting......all which was outdated. I have a newer camera and a newer external flash, etc. Anyway, I told him not to bring any props because I had my home decorated already. Anyway, he brought the noisemakers to get the puppies attention. I still had to calm them down by bribing them with alot of treats and cuddling and coaxing. Anyway, we got some great shots but I cannot scan them because I do not have a stand alone scanner. I have an all-in-one printer and the scanner is crappy and the pics come out grainy when scanned. Anyway, I should have never hired a Photographer as I can do the job myself or could have I just did not want to do it at the time. Anyway, I wanted to share with you the pics I took of the puppies. It took about 100 shots but I had fun doing it. Best time to take pics or videos of your dogs is right after they have been groomed. They are usually so worn out and tired after the grooming is done.

I have the best Photogenic dogs ever, though! I think so anyway. Enjoy the pics. I am in search of matching Doggie Christmas Outfits for the Christmas Photo which I am going to set up my camera, remote and tripod and do it myself and save me some $$$$$!

Okay.......I scanned the Photographers pictures on my cheap scanner and they came out grainy looking.
Until I get a new scanner this is all I have for now.

Hi, it has been awhile since my last post. After being on vacation in Alaska in Sept for two weeks I have been busy trying to decorate and clean house. It is a never ending job but I am so determined to get it all done!!!

Our family has grown by four paws!!! Saturday, we went to N. Arlington to do some shopping and thought we would go into Petland "just to look" around and the moment we walked in we were approached by a sales lady and she quickly told us that she had a Lhasa Apso and a couple of Shih Tzu's. We were curious and asked to see them. Well, the Shih Tzu's were so dang cute but we put them away and played with the Lhasa and fell in love. So we ended up buying him. I love Shih Tzu's but we just bought Benji, our Shih Tzu in May and he is hyper and has a mind of his own and barks like crazy and hates being in his kennel. I cannot complain about Bruiser, our Lhasa (we got him as a puppy also in December) he has grown so much and weighs 19pounds. He is such a good dog!!!! He is getting to where he grunts at the other two if they are in his space. Strange, as he has never done that before. I guess he is showing them who's Boss around here! HA!

When we finally got home we brought our other two puppies, (Bruiser a Lhasa and Benji a Shih Tzu) outside to meet Brewster, our new little Lhasa. He was greeted by the two with lot's of sniffing, licking, and loads of affection. They all get along and play well together for now.

Brewster cried so much the first night home and did not like being in his kennel. After many sightings of poo we noticed he was suffering from a case of Diarrhea. And Monday morning he woke up early squirming and yelping like someone was trying to kill him. We jumped out of bed and got him out of his kennel and were welcomed with the scent of poo and poo all over his body!!!! We took him outside and cleaned him with puppy wipes and then took him a bath. Poor guy, looked like he was saying "get this shit off of me." It's funny when you think about it now but at the time I was gagging and wanting to puke!!!!

He is so adorable and very smart. He can go up and down the stairs already and today he jumped on the gate (which prevents him from going upstairs) and put it at a angle and climbed right over it. I am afraid he will slip through the spindles because he is soooo small.

We took him to the Dr. on Monday and his diarrhea is almost gone. Bruiser, had surgery Monday to remove a Hernia and Benji had surgery yesterday to get nuetered. Talk about EXPENSES!!!!!

And next month we will have to board all three while we go away on our vacation to Alaska!!!!

UPDATING OUR HOME

For the last two months we have had many home improvement projects going on. This included painting the inside, adding crown moldings in the rooms which did not have it, weatherproofing doors and windows, added a frame around a window which was an eyesore before, getting a new roof as I blog this, gutters, wind turbines, painting the outside starting this week, etc, etc. My house is looking better each day and I have been working my tail off getting everything back in order and cleaned. I am a clean freak and will not stop until it is done. After all this, I am thinking I might hire a Maid once and for all! I could use a good massage right now and am soooo looking forward to when it is all done!

I do have something to look forward to next month and that is a 12-day vacation to Alaska! We are doing a land/cruise excursion and I am excited. I have a lot to do before then, which includes some shopping and spa time!!! For now enjoy this picture of my updated bathroom which is near my spectacular craft room. No pics to post of it yet as it is a mess and full of papers everywhere!!! My mess of course! I hope to get it in order soon and get back to crafting. My Photography has since taken over! Anyway, as soon as I download other pics of the house I will post. Our home is only four years old but it needed updating which also included hanging drapes, and changing out linens and bathroom rugs, etc. Have a great day and Thanks for stopping by to read my blog!!!

SUMMER FUN WITH THE PUPPIES

so why not bring out the doggie pool!! This was Benji and Bruiser's first pool time and they did not want any part of it!!! Enjoy the pics!
Sidenote: It took me 30 mins. to prep for this event (setting up tripods, camera's, camcorders, getting them dressed, etc.)

It is scorching HOT here in N. Texas and I love it!!!! (sometimes)

What I do love is cooking, therefore I collect COOKBOOKS!!! I just wanted to share some of my favorite cookbooks with you. This past month I have made some good recipes out of the Deen Bros. Cookbook. I just love them and their Mother and once had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Paula Deen at one of her book signings. I got a great picture with her (if I can find it) and she is just as pretty and genuine in person as she is on TV. I just love her and me some BUTTER!!!! LOL!

I also found a super easy recipe for the Perfect Iced Tea! I found it in the FTW Star-Telegram. I made it and it tasted sooooo good and it was PERFECT!!! Recipe to follow.

Anyway, these are not all of my cookbooks I have another two shelves filled to the max on the end of my kitchen Island. I also have soooo many cooking magazines. I love to cook and bake and do not use my cookbooks as often as I should but hey, I try! My husband was real pleased with the last dinners and lunches I made and all the recipes came from some of these cookbooks.

The Salad book pictured is a good book as well and I made a salad and the dressing out of that book. Super Easy! Oh, and did I tell you I am addicted to the Food TV Network and FOOD? I love it all!!!

Perfect Iced Tea

8 - single -serving tea bags

8 - cups of boiling water

1/2 to 1 cup of sugar (see note)

Garnish of choice

1. Combine tea bags and water in tempered glass pitcher. Cover and steep for 20 minutes.

2. Add sweetner such as sugar, stevia or honey, stirring well to dissolve. Remove and discard tea bags. Allow tea to cool at room temperature.
Chill and serve over ice.

3. Garnish with lemon, lime or orange slices, or mint leaves.

Side note: I sugguest making extra tea and pour the tea into an ice cube tray and freeze. Use those tea cubes as your ice this way more tea melts in your tea rather than water ice cubes which can water down your tea.

This makes two quarts of Tea.

I made this Tea yesterday and it was the "Perfect" Iced Tea I had ever made in such a long time.
